Maybe a little late, but i haven't found a thread here:

40 years ago, in the night of the 17th September Jimi Hendrix died in his hotel room. First it was supposed that he died because of a golden shot,
but later an autopsy turned out that he died by choking.
To remind of him I would like every guitar player to take at least a one minute feedback on his guitar and every other musician just to listen and take a minute of silence. We all learned from him,
when not directly then through others who listened to his music and evolved some of his techniques. Jimi Hendrix is the guitar player, musician and man, who made so many things easier to us and showed us the possibilities of guitar and sound.
I just hope that his efforts and what he had revolutionized will never get
forgotten and we all play on in the spirit of: peace, love and happiness...

There is a youtube "JIMI HENDRIX 12 STRING BLUES" 6.7M views. It's a great video, if you haven't seen it, do so.
He's bangin out some blues on this twelve string, all decked out in this screaming red coat, bending notes on this twelve string.
