Last month, I tested Guitarix as a VST3 plugin, hosted by Carla.
The latency under pipewire-jack / real time is 64 / 48000 = 1.3 ms.
Without Xruns despites the OBS Studio video recording.
I used TuxGuitar 1.6.1 which can read GuitarPro 8 files.

For the mixer, I used jack_mixer.

The session is managed via Ray Session.

Amazing that this one's apparently still alive! It even predates Impulse Tracker (with which I started my music hobby).

@ycollette Thank you for your work Yann!

The Audinux repo is quite remarkable--it has almost everything one could want. I hope you continue to share repo updates on the LMF because Audinux needs more visibility.

I have been using the lqx kernel and just saw the warning on your website. Is there any place to find more information? I have tried to make lqx the default with grubby but new kernel updates override my choice. I will have to remember to be fast at the grub screen after updates...

For the lqx kernel, the problem has been fixed a while ago. I will check for the warning.
When you booted on lqx and then boot back on standard kernel, a SE Linux relabelling was triggered ...

I had wondered about trying some other distro on my new laptop, but this makes me think otherwise!

I started the build for Fedora 40 and rawhide.
The main problem I faced: some gcc flags are now enabled on Fedora: -Wno-incompatible-pointer-types -Wno-implicit-function-declaration
These flags trigger failures during package build.
The vst3sdk has also a build problem due to a c++ syntaxe error ...
cardinal made gcc hangs on aarch64.
Still some works to do.

A while back, zrythm was in the repository.
The zrythm project has a lot of extreme requirements and the last time I tested the build, I was not able to build it.
I will retry wednesday or thursday to check out if it builds.
The spec is here, but I need now some luck to pass some problems :)

No worries about Zrythm if its a pain in the balls.

Meanwhile you may want to look at this about an issue I am having with Hydrogen - https://github.com/hydrogen-music/hydrogen/issues/1966

Maybe a problem with wayland.
You can try:

$ WAYLAND_DISPLAY= hydrogen

to force hydrogen to be run on x11
or

$ GDK_BACKEND=x11 hydrogen

The last command is more for Gtk applications. It helps me with a redraw problem on audacity.
