SF2 player/sampler recommendation?

Post by nevis »

hi all,

I am looking for your recommendations for an SF2 player or even sampler with SF2 capabilities.

I used to love working with TX16Wx when under Windows.
But that does not want to work with yabridge for me. And a quick forum search showed that others had similar issues.
I know that TAL-Sampler could work with SF2, but somehow I cannot seem to get into its workflow.

For the sample spotters: I love the E-MU Proteus 1 SF2 soundset I bought years ago. It contains, among many other well-known sounds, the famous lead sound of the 1992 techno classic Age of Love (Jam & Spoon remix)...

Fluida.

Age of Love. Know it from the Rumour Records Trance compilations of 30 years ago. I still play the first three albums quite often. Have been non stop favorites of mine.

Iconic. I have not seen the Rumour logo in ages. Nostalgia 8)

Fluida.

Worked like a charm, also bridged to vst in Bitwig using lv2ls.
Thanks a gain for the hint!
