Sordina from Librewave.

Post by alex stone »

Through another link, I happened upon David Healey's Sordina mute emulator, and I've posted the link here. There are two vids on the Sordina page, and I urge users to watch. Sordina is, imho, quite the plugin for an important and expressive instrument articulation that's often added as an afterthought to modern sample libs.

There are a collection of mutes which can be used for instruments with their audio routed through a Sordina instance, and that includes non librewave instruments as well. (which is, imho, awesome)

Take a look, and more importantly, a listen, to what Sordina can do. The demonstration features a solo violin.
