what if...
those experts were right and that AI is already smarter than humans?

Emotion is big factor in bad decisions and so you could say that since AI currently do not have this then they are able to make smarter and perhaps more informed and objective decisions. Depends what you mean by smart though.

not teaching love to the children was a big mistake?
we are all already too late?

Definitely too late for this. Look at the cycles of abuse and personality disorders caused by childhood upbringing (trauma, abandonment, abuse, neglect) which spreads through society and generations like a spider's web. Impossible to stop now and is like a rotting core of humanity.

the supermacy is already here?
AI is already built in all kinds of military weaponry?
there is already a war robot like Terminator?
kicking and hitting and treating robots bad was not a good idea?
not teaching love to the children was a big mistake?
not teaching love to the AI was the biggest mistake?
we are all already too late?

I'm a firm believer in GIGO. An AI trained on all the garbage found on the net? Human stupidity is much more threatening to humanity than artificial intelligence per se.

Humans are smart by their own standards. Figures.

AI is learning from the internet sInce AI is just a marketing term for "machine learning".

More and more content in the internet will be created by AI, so AI will learn from its own output which will lead to Artificial Incest that will produce Artificial Idiocy.

Don't be afraid but don't connect AI to your door lock or heating system.

There's a prominent school of thought among neurobiologists that decision-making cannot be separated from emotions. There's ALWAYS an emotional component, at least as a context, and usually much more. Concepts like value or even identity are difficult to quantize. Can they be simulated? Maybe.

Artificial Intelligence might be better than humans at decision-making. Or it might be worse. But it will be an entirely alien form of intelligence.

What are better decisions?

  • Fast decisions?
  • Help you to survive?
  • Help your community to survive?
  • Get rich quick?
  • Get a sustainable income?
  • Make great art?

Depends.

There's a prominent school of thought among neurobiologists that decision-making cannot be separated from emotions.

Where does reaction become decision? The first concept is purely mechanical, the second concept is loaded with implications (about the existence of consciousness, maybe even free will).

Now, can one be conscious, exert free will, without experiencing emotion? Hard questions to ponder when we don't even have rigorous definitions of all the concepts involved, and only our own personal experience for guidance.

And since rigorous definitions will introduce more or less arbitrary boundaries between what does and what does not satisfy the definitions, it will be a while before satisfactory answers are found.

thats the point, talking about definitions is cool - I am loving that in the real word.
Making clear what a word or term stands for before talking about it.
but again:
time is running out

What do you mean by time?

what is Encom C.L.U.?
Maybe I have it here under another name, then I can give it to you.

Search for some meta-metonimy on TRON, you most prolly have it.

thanks loki, but I dont have time for doing research now on the words, I do not know.
But these discussions here are funny sum timez, really funny.

CLU is a Codified Likeness Utility from the film Tron. ENCOM international is the company name in the film.

It's the fourth song from an obscure 73' album of a forgotten band, or something akin.

That's funny, I just (re-)watched TRON last night... and played GL Tron on my phone.
