How To Write Music: Gatekeeping

Post by Carl Irwin »

This is a follow-up to a previous video regarding an openness to the process of writing music. I was tempted to title this one: "How to Write Music: You Can't Handle the Truth"...
But wisdom got the better of me. In this talk, I tackle the problem of "gatekeeping" and the fallacies that drive it.

Now go write something!

Interesting talk. Thanks for posting.

Some comment I read nearby reminded me of Ricky Gervais commenting on twitter, you know, the guy who finds an ad for guitar lessons and calls up the number to tell the guitar teacher he doesn't want any lessons.... https://youtu.be/uEawbnXaIDs Hilarious :-)

My mother tongue is swedish. Running KXstudio on Xubuntu 22.04. No wine. No whine. But beers.
