Das Landstreicherlied

Post by flappix »

Hi,
last summer I did a 2-month bicycle trip across south France and Spain and I tried to pack my feelings and impressions about the trip in a song. I had a guitar with me but honestly most of the material I composed when I was back home.
The title Landsteicherlied is German and means something song of a vagabond. That's actually how I felt on the journey.

Would be nice if you want to give it a try

Hi @flappix , this is a lovely song or a collection of short songs. You might call it your vagabond's rhapsody. :) Did you use software/plugins to process your guitars? I like the almost synthetic sounding track with the phaser. Also your main electric lead sound, beginning at 1:03. Is that a guitar or bass played at a high register?
I enjoyed the different impressions and atmospheres you created with this track, apparently feeding of different genres and tiimes.

Thanks, I'm glad you like it.

The guitar is almost clean. There is very light distortion coming from a Roland Streetcube Ampflifier, than I added some reverb from ArtyFX (http://openavproductions.com/artyfx/) and a bit compression and equalization from Calf plugins.
The part you mentioned consists of two guitar parts: The main line played in the low-to-mid register and some chords on the 3. beat of every bar played in the higher register.

I like this a lot, bot as a composition and the sounds. Those crazy synth sounds about half way are not bad at all. But your guitar playing is great!!!
