3Peaks - remixed and remastered by pro studio

Postby jonetsu » Sat Mar 30, 2019 12:35 am

The latest is titled "3 Peaks" since it goes through 3 peaks literally.

There's actually one main guitar track and two others for the theme. The mix could be a bit better but then at one point it's a matter of getting it out there in the current context.

And so it starts off with about a minute of atmospheric synth...

Cheers.

There's now an updated mix which has more separation between guitars. However, the "symbiosis" between guitar tones is still maintained as if they were forming together another instrument. The basses are less entangled with the low mids also. At least it sounded like that here.

Cheers.

Glen, Folderol, psyocean: thanks !

A pro studio in the U.K. has offered to mix it. Let's see what it will sound like.

Here is the version mixed and mastered by High End Mastering in East Devon, U.K. The link is the same as in the first post of this thread as it replaces the original version done by me. Link to the studio in the Soundcloud description.

Cheers.

If the old version is still up, I'm curious to listen to an A/B comparison. The prices for mastering are pretty ok imo.

There's about 4 minutes left in the soundcloud account - I have to make space (not really wanting to get the full 'pro' account). I'll see what I can do. It could be interesting to have both versions.
