Thanks, I'll also look into that.bluebell wrote:You can use jack-plumbing as well. It has to be active permanently and reads a file with rules to connect/disconnect clients. Re: More Carla Questions
@falkTX: I'm using carla at the moment in Reaper to play sfz files from https://github.com/sgossner/VSCO-2-CE/tree/SFZ
The soundfiles are located in ~/.sounds/sfz. Sometimes when opening Reaper Carla will not play the samples immediately. Sometimes it works with reloading the sfz or by hitting some notes. Is this issue known?

Re: More Carla Questions
Coincidence: https://github.com/falkTX/Carla/issues/250
I'll check if that helped later, although I updated Carla yesterday.

Re: More Carla Questions
SFZ files sometimes still get lost in Carla, i.e. when opening the DAW the file is not loaded in Carla anymore. Is there any workaround for this?

Re: More Carla Questions
It happens in Ardour and Reaper with all of the SFZ files from here: https://github.com/sgossner/VSCO-2-CEfalkTX wrote:huh, that is the most generic error I have error seen, what did you do to get it?
just loading the sfz? which one specifically... the more info the better
Other SFZ files (e.g. General GS MuseCore) work.
Carla Rack (2.0 beta7)
Does it help or do you need more info?

Re: More Carla Questions
It happens when trying to load the sfz file in carla. Really strange when it's working for you.

Re: More Carla Questions
Even SF2 files are not working anymore. When I load the GeneralUser GS MuseCore it's not possible to choose instruments and I don't get any tone out of it. Am I doing something seriously wrong or did I screw my Carla settings? Also the gear-wheel symbol is not active in Carla.
