This is an odt document that should help new users familiarise themselves
with Yoshimi, and runs through first-time startup along with basic controls.
It applies to V 1.4.0 + and can be found in:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/yoshimi/files/Doc
It is also in 'doc' in the normal install locations.

Thanks for this, Will. I've used Yoshimi for a while but still consider myself a new user.folderol wrote:This is an odt document that should help new users familiarise themselves

And since I don't think it gets said enough, thanks mightily for your great work on the project, it would not be as evolved today without your contributions.
Best,

Re: The Short Yoshimi Guide
Thanks for the support guys.
Possibly I put this in the wrong place, but couldn't think of anywhere else that seemed relevant.
Hopefully it answers most questions, but if there is anything that's not clear let me know and I'll try and improve it - although I do want to keep this as simple and compact as possible. Incidentally, while going though everything in fine detail prior to the 1.4 release I discovered quite a few things I didn't know about myself - and I've been using it from day 1
