Plugin drumkv1 doesn't start in REAPER

Hello,

when I try to add the LV2i plugin

drumkv1 (rncbc aka. Rui Nuno Capela)

to a track in REAPER, it freezes up, after several seconds later an error message tells me to quit (exit) the application or to wait.

Does somebody have an explanation for this behaviour and how to add the plugin to a track?

Is it the general behavior? does it also freeze on ardour, qtractor and anything else (talking about lv2 hosts, ofc.)?

otoh. what packaging or distro you got drumkv1-lv2 from?

Same for me in Reaper. Reaper Version is 7.11. Can not close plugin window. Must kill Reaper.

i'd recommend my ppa's (even for the pure-debian-crackheads-not-afraid-of-frankendebianitis:)) "jammy" one might be a good choice:

I have now compiled it myself from github. The problem remains.
After adding the plugin a strange window appears.

Does it help when you load Carla as a plugin and then drumkv1 inside Carla, maybe with "UI bridges" activated in Carla?

It works in Ardour 7.

It works in Ardour 8.2.0 too.
Where can this issue be reported to the REAPER Support?. This issue can affect further plugins too.

ftr. check https://www.rncbc.org/drupal/comment/9850#comment-9850 then replace "focal" for "jammy" as applicable.

What is that supposed to change? The ppa version is certainly created from the latest version of github. Or not?

it is, and also it is built to qt6-static libraries and sure to work even against ardour.org sainctoned binaries.

which might also be an edge on closed-source repear, who knows? you tell me.

So, the problem is solved. I installed the ppa version as a test.
That didn't work at first either.
The self-compiled version was still in /usr/local/lib and that may have caused a conflict.
After I removed this it now works in Reaper too.
