Ardour and the plugin-crash

What other apps and distros do you use to round out your studio?

Ardour and the plugin-crash

Post by Cafe »

Hi All,

under AV Linux, Ardour sometimes starts without loading certain plugins. E.g. VST2-3 plugins, Cardinal, Helm etc.
I use Jack with a VOLT2 sound card.
I don't know what could be wrong.
Emptying the cache does not solve the error either.

Does Ardour raise a notification window that plugins are missing? Do those plugins have something in common? Like a shared path? Did you try a rescan of the VST plugins? Which version of Ardour?

After rechecking the VST plug-ins, the ranking is the same.

Version:
Ardour 7.3.29
"Nerve Net"
(rev 7.3-29-g93b68fea89)
Intel 64-bit

uname -a
Linux AV2 6.0.0-10.1-liquorix-amd64 #1 ZEN SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC liquorix 6.0-6mx21+1 (2022-11-30) x86_64 GNU/Linux
