DrumGizmo is great but it is laking a continuous hi-hat openness based on the CC4 signal coming from the edrums. When I try to use DrumGizmo to play the notes coming from my edrums, the open/closed hi-hat sounds go crazy!

Which version are you using, and which edrumkit are you playing?
Drumgizmo has been tested on (at least) alesis and roland kits, and in both cases the hihat pedal works as expected.
Could you also describe what you mean by "go crazy". If this is a bug, it would be nice with some more details to go from.
