DrumGizmo: Timing Humanizer sounds worse

Post by jumper149 »

I am currently using DrumGizmo 0.9.19 with the CrocellKit in Ardour 7.1 and noticed, that the timing humanizer messes with some sounds.
In particular the open hi-hat always gets cut off too early.

I have attached two example files. Listen closely to the sound of the open hi-hat.

Humanizer ON, hi-hat is cut off:

hi-hat_bug_timing-humanizer_on.mp3
(143 KiB) Downloaded 56 times

Humanizer OFF, works fine:

hi-hat_bug_timing-humanizer_off.mp3
(154.49 KiB) Downloaded 49 times

I tried to change the settings of the humanizer, but even with very tight settings the problem still remains.

Has anyone else noticed this?
Is this a problem with DrumGizmo, CrocellKit or Ardour?

Edit: I recreated this thread after deleting the old one in the wrong subforum.

Thanks for reporting.

I can easily reproduce this - that's step number one :-)

I have finally managed to find and fix the bug! \o/ - it was a tough one to crack!

It is being checked by our CI server now and, if all goes well, will be merged to our develop branch for inclusion in the next release.
