Linux musicians have hundreds of choices based on a diverse handfull of technical realities. Those using the duopoly corporate operating systems have around ten choices based on about 5 technical realities each, for mac and wintel systems. And those are far more age-reliant when comparing system capabilities. And far more problematic when attempting to produce music using current software on old systems or old hardware.
