Hi one and all this is my first post.
I am completely new to using Linux for music production but am presently
trying to get a looping setup running.
I have installed QjackCTl, Guitarix,Luppp,Carla and Cadence.
I have the audio from my komplete audio 6 sound card configured and working nicely.
My problem is that the midi inputs from the sound card and a guitar foot pedal I made using a game control are not showing up in Carla.
How do you install ALSA Midi Bridge as its greyed out?
Both Guitarix and Luppp are ready for midi binding once I get midi showing.
Quite frustrating so close yet so far.
Any help would be much appreciated

Re: How to get midi working
I have had a break through with the help of “Ted’s Linux MIDI Guide”
http://tedfelix.com/linux/linux-midi.html.
I now have in QjackCtl the midi showing up under ALSA.
komplete Audio 6 MIDI and 4 ports of my Roland MPU64.
I really did not think the Roland would work.
Now I have to find linux software like Controllermate. This is what I used on mac to convert a joystick inputs to midi.
Because at present I have no input devices.

Re: How to get midi working
Woe, what a lot of research but I have managed to work out how
to get the game controller working. I found a program called
QjoyPad 4.1 which is doing it nicely. Now I am using the guitar foot pedal to control Luppp while I play the guitar. Will have to make/buy anther midi control.
Does anyone know the computer keyboard mapping of Luppp?
At the moment I am just randomly pushing key to try and find out.
What key is the play/stop and metronome?
Thanks Hutzpah
