Little Longnose

Post by psyocean »

Greetings!

Let me present for your attention instrumental composition "Little Longnose" :)

Get audio from page - https://www.neizvestniy-geniy.ru/cat/mu ... tml?author

On this record I decide use midi-tracks in Ardour. Midi is definitely not the most convenient thing in Ardour but it works.
Sounded with Roland XV-5080 (Weight of patches - few Mb, weight of samples waves - few Kb :D )

A very rich composition, love it!

A nice atmospheric/thetrical extrapolation on some chords and themes. The directions taken keeps it event full,

On the mix I'd say maybe less enveloping with the bass. People will imagine and thus feel the bass if given the right cues. In this mix, the bass takes too much place I find. There's certainly a way to have rich, perhaps dramatic, bass without it being "found everywhere". It might also mean in the process to change somewhat some of its characteristics, such as the envelope and filter, just a little.

Cheers.

Very nice work, psyocean! Sounds like it's warm enough in Russia to play guitar again! I like this tune a lot. It is a very nice play between softer synth sounds and the harsher guitar tones.

I like the track except of the pan flute :D Especially the beginning is quite atmospheric. The low range sounds a bit muffled.

Lilith, in this track no exotic, used regular natural minor and natural major in fragments  Thanks for comment!
