Fathom synth on Computer Music Magazine dvd/digital edition
edit: please see the next post regarding Fathom CM
https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopi ... 1&t=482501
for Fathom discussion, with lots of developer input.
The magware version is polyphonic, unlike the free mono version.
It will be on the May 2019 issue, only subscribers have it now,
so save up your $5 in the meantime, to get this great modular instrument.
Your purchase will also entitle you to around 2.5 gig of instrument
and effects plugins, and the best ones like Dune CM, Thorn CM,
Bazille CM and ZebraCM will work in linux/wine/reaper, as will StiX CM,
a great drum machine available only on the issue it was featured on.
Bitwig 8-Track daw is also available on the issue it was featured in.
Magazine purchases at
https://www.musicradar.com/computermusic
Magazine content will be found at
https://www.filesilo.co.uk
where an account must be established.
Proof of purchase is simply finding a requested quote from the magazine
via the digital reader (a re-badged adobe air?)
There will also be lots of samples and tutorials to download.
Cheers

Re: Fathom synth on Computer Music Magazine dvd/digital edition
Oddly, the Fathom CM plugin isn't getting scanned by Reaper,
while the free and Pro versions work fine.
But the digital issue #268 still includes Thorn CM, StiX CM, Bazille CM, Zebra CM,,
Dune CM, and many others, well worth $5 and some net-nanny time.
The two plugins archives at
https://www.filesilo.co.uk
add up to 2.6 gig. The mag can be found at
https://www.zinio.com
and might be slighly cheaper in other
digital mag shops. I recommend getting Fathom Pro or the free versio
on their own merits, hopefully the CM problem is local on my setup.
I'll edit this when things change.
Cheers

Hi, it's the newest digital issue, just out this week, the May 2019 issue # 268
Digital subscribers get their first, then online orders, then paper subscribers,
and finally the paper magazine with dvd hits the brick & mortar.
Here's a link for issue 268:

Re: Fathom synth on Computer Music Magazine dvd/digital edition
You'll have access to pc and mac zip archives,
the pc versions are 1.4 gig of effects, 1.2 gig of instruments,
which includes nearly all of the previous plugin/standalone content,
but sometimes a featured release is for
the release issue only, as was the case with Bitwig 8-Track,
such back issues can still be purchased to get those specials.
Each issue will have downloads for the months tutorial files and videos,
and sample content (related articles from the sample providers
are in the mag), which CM calculate to fill out the months
dvd/downloads, often more than a gigabyte of samples.
Make accounts at zinio.com and filesilo.co.uk
buy a digital edition
open mag in browser using the zinio reader app
login at filesilo and select that mag so you can unlock it
You'll be asked to retrieve a word from a text header
on some page, find it in the reader, fill it in,
and your content downloads will
be unlocked, and presented in a gui of icons to click
for the various downloads.
