[ANN} Yoshimi 1.5.10.2
In view of the upcoming changes to MXML this we've decided to make a preemptive bugfix release. At the same time, we've dealt with some memory leaks that might have occurred when handling corrupted files.

Does this lead to an incompatibility to older DAW-session where Yoshimi is loaded as lv2-plugin?folderol wrote:In view of the upcoming changes to MXML this we've decided to make a preemptive bugfix release. Re: [ANN} Yoshimi 1.5.10.2
No. It should make no difference at all. The old method was using a sort of low-level shortcut (possibly fractionally faster). Also there were two routes to it and we were actually using the wrong one. Maybe this should never have been publicly accessible so now we're being good people and only using the correct formal entry points.
Finally, this is no criticism of those who did the original coding. MXML was far less developed in those days and has rapidly developed since it's first appearance in 2003.
