Linplug (having nothing to do with Linux) is a known soft synth maker in business since 2010 or so. They have made several soft synths, each with distinctive sounds that are not so easily replicated by the synths today. I use Saxlab2 quite often which, despite the Sample Tank 3 sampling, remains an excellent "saxophone synth".
All 4 current Linplug plugins are available demo. I use wine-staging and linvst. And also use CRX4,Spectral and MorphoX. The latter two have some UI flicker problems in Linux Mint KDE, but it can be worked around if the sounds matter.
All plugins are $49. Linplug will close business at the end of the month.

Oh wow, I wonder if there is some way we could talk them into releasing the source... I would even be willing to contribute some money.
