Re: A French Jig
Quite a bright lively wake up song.
Female voice seems much clearer than the male one (although I don't understand French).

The Yoshimi guy {apparently now an 'elderly'}

Once well recorded and mixed, a good song. Has all the right elements at the right place. Make Rita Mitsuko great again ?

Re: A French Jig
folderol, thanks and yep you are spot on. It dawned on me after the fact that i could possibly pull him up and out a bit more using a dynamic eq. I'll give that a go, soon-ish.folderol wrote:Female voice seems much clearer than the male one
jonestsu, you could've knocked me over with a feather with that one. I quite honestly had not heard of them until just now. I've listened to a couple of their pieces so far and the vocal styling of the two women is strikingly similar. The period of activity of the two groups was concurrent as well (i came in late to their party). I can't speak for the others, but "Les Rita Mitsouko" is certainly new to me. As always thank you much !jonetsu wrote:Make Rita Mitsuko great again ?

Re: A French Jig
If I may, and since the situation and events in France - presently run by a banker - are significant for the rest of the world I find, here's a spoof on a popular Michel Fugain song. In a different register than the songs mentioned so far, what's nice is the sharp contrast of this soft-sounding protest song with the actual events in the fields where so far, more than 20 people have lost an eye from the police's shootings with 'lbd' rifles.carlv wrote:jonestsu, you could've knocked me over with a feather with that one. Re: A French Jig
Thanks for the parody tune. It helped lighten my mood a bit after spending the better part of my morning reading the escalating horror stories. You know it's bad when 60 weeks in, firefighters are now battling police.jonetsu wrote:The good guys and the bad guys are not always what they seem.
"In France: firefighters, solicitors, refinery workers, teachers, actors, musicians, opera singers, orchestras, academics, doctors & ballet dancers all on strike.
Police Forensic Investigators joined in the protests this week."
Sheesh !

Sounds amazing!
The community of believers was of one heart and mind, and no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they had everything in common. [Acts 4:32]

I think it's pretty much always been that way. Awareness of that fact is another story.ufug wrote:There are more us us than there are of them. If only we can keep it that way.
