By the beginning of the 20th century, many carriers of a unique local song culture are still alive in different parts of Russia. Those songs that they save are very different from the usual Kalinka-Malinka wide audience. Real folk songs are a great basis for any creativity with which you can do anything.
The Kalinusha group formed spontaneously, just as spontaneously recorded an album and fell apart. Nevertheless, I would like to share with you our album, released in December last year. The album was recorded entirely on Linux.
Live dance rhythms, bright voices - this is Kalinusha.

This is an interesting listen. Thanks for posting.
I agree that folk music is full of interesting ideas and sounds. How much did you alter the compositions? I assume the drums and synth backing tracks were your addition. What about the vocal harmonies? This sounds like a fun project!
EDIT: I am impressed by the rhythmic complexity of the music. Particularly track #10.

Thank you for sharing this part of your culture with us!
