Solid tones, and very interesting. You violin hybrids are especially curious. How do you do it? And tell us about the software and interface for that embedded Raspberry Pi in your guitar. That is quite interesting.

Thank you.

The violin tone was generated using http://www.spectmorph.org/ - I used Yin Pitch Tracking to estimate all my guitar pitches in real-time (it's not 100% accurate, sometimes it doesn't response at all) and replay all the pitches via MIDI to SpectMorph by using Jack MIDI.

For Raspberry Pi, I used Scarlett 2i2 Focusrite USB soundcard connected to my Realtime Debian Linux. All of the software was 100% Open-source: Guitarix, Calf Studio Gear (Equalizer 5 Band & Vintage Delay).

So the Raspberry PI is embedded in the instrument, correct? Or is it external? I assume that the Scarlett 2i2 is not inside the instrument. And is that some kind of touch screen display on the guitar? Do you have a video of this setup in use? I'm continually impressed with the DIY possibilities of Linux, especially when combined with DIY skills in the physical world. Your guitar looks like some pretty sweet gear!

Yes, the Raspberry Pi is embedded inside the guitar body, mine isn't Capacitive Touchscreen although I plan to upgrade it later on. The USB Scarlett 2i2 is external and optional for dual output and recording purposes - you can use any external mini USB soundcard, or an economic USB Guitar Link (1/4' to USB) +/- $10.

I don't have the video setup right now, but Here's my minimalist settings:

Raspberry Pi (PiLFS), running :

- Guitarix headless
- Calf Studio Gear (patched for CLI only)
- Jack Audio Daemon

Y Jack Splitter
Converter 1/8 To 1/4 --> Cabinet Speaker [Output]
