Latest track:

https://soundcloud.com/lilith_93/jonestown-1

as always done with 100% Linux (Renoise).

Soundcloud is somehow smoothing the audio quality (compression very likey)... Directly from Renoise it sounds much more punchy. Think about upgrading to have a better quality.

Hi,

Just a horrible event in human history.. :(

Your production skills are evolving very quickly! Great sounds and specifically the clarity of the production is very impressive, I liked the wide-panning of the percussion a lot (people are not very adventurous with panning these days). Bear in mind I enjoy EDM as an outsider and I am brain-dead when it comes to synthesizers but I sure enjoy the sonic spacial effects and timbres that can be achieved with all of those sounds.

Well Done!

Thanks :) I got some tips how to improve the mix. The bass is not well integrated and the arp sound that comes in later needs some more equing. And the mix is a little bit too wide. Next time I' ll sleep over it, but when it comes to an end I'm always in a hurry :D

Yes, what happend is unbelievable. On archive.org is also the Death Tape:

Great sounds in this one. I liked the panning effect on what I think of as the "hi-hat" (the sounds that come in around 0:24).

Also, just generally, I'm curious what instruments/plugins you used here. I haven't tried Renoise myself, but I might have to check it out for some more electronic-type stuff.

A bit late here... A good atmospheric track. The build-up at the beginning is well-felt. It would need some cohesiveness between the bass and drums I find to drive it. Like at 2:40 it sounds like the bass comes from 'somewhere else'. It would be nice if the bass and drums would sound a bit more together. Nothing drastic.

I don't recall much details about Jonestown although I know the principle. We might be thinking that education can prevent someone from following such cults/sects but as we have seen with the OTS, high-ranked executives can also be trapped in those things and end up burned in a house with all followers. Education is not preventing, as it does in some countries regarding religion fanatics, in those cases.

Cheers.

Thanks jonetsu. I did some changes again, I think the bass sounds better now, but still I have the feeling it can be optimized. It also plays now on every kick drum beat, so it's driving a bit better.
