Hi all,

I just remixed some tracks with Ardour (and also played bass):

Also available at https://www.wikiloops.com/backingtrack-jam-153856.php

Cheers, and
happy holidays,
Wolfgang

That's a very good track. I also relistened to remix with just the bass and acoustic guitar on Wikiloops, that was quite relaxing. I hadn't heard of that site before. So you and the drummer both played off of the acoustic guitar and vocals, individually? Anyways, it was a nice song, well done.

I make music as Tenaba! Bandcamp

Thanks!

Well on Wikiloops everyone can start with a "template", which is the original composition - in this case that was done by "Arnosolo" from France, with two acoustic guitars.

And first I played bass on his track only (and had a few remixes on that one as well).

But when Shi (the singer) added her version I immediately tried, and yes, my same bass also fitted her version, so this is what I did.

Then - almost at the same time - a drummer from the USA had the same idea, and he discovered my bass after he uploaded (mostly 4/4 on a 3/3 piece) drums. But as he seemed to like my bass I offered to upload onto his version again, and that is what I did, and what you see in the video.

These "templates" can go everywhere - you basically agree that people can do with them whatever they want, and the outcomes are a bit unpredictable and therefore always very interesting. It's a nice community where people help each other (technical or with constructive advice) - I've learned a lot since I joined in February not only because you learn faster if you record yourself but also because you'll play on a lot of different genres which you probably never thought of before (whatever it might be).

I like it there, and as a supporter of the site I was also able to put together 4 albums since I joined in February (and have enough material for a fifth one already).

So first, thanks again for your nice comment, and second: come and have a look if you'd like.

Happy holidays, and merry Christmas. And a happy new year 2019.

Cheers,
Wolfgang

Even if you can't sing well, sing. Sing to yourself. Sing in the privacy of your home. But sing.

Thank you all. I have a slightly different version (other drummer and an additional guitar player) on my Christmas album:

Enjoy,
Wolfgang
