The Deprived Lambs

Post by psyocean »

The simple sad melody. Half-year ago I play it as improvisation on digi-piano, and recently put recorded midi-file in Rosegarden for editing. Sounded with Qsynth + soundfont GM-bank Crisis ver. 3.0 (1.7 Gb) For mastering I use Jamin :)

Well, it's a sad melody indeed, all in pedal tones if the piano is removed. But the piano seems like playing to another tune ... that has the same chords. Sometimes it hits good notes that would weave a substantial contribution, but most of the time it sounds detached. If an echo was added to the piano then it could become some kind of sequenced rhythmic part and then it wouldn't matter as much that a coherent counter-melody be made because the sequencer-like echoed piano by itself would bring a color to the piece.

Not one of your best IMHO. The question is, deprived of what ?

Cheers.

I like it! :) I like the mix of instruments, and the overall feel. Is it part of a larger project?
