Rom-Comm Mixtape by Lorenzo's Music

Post by tmray »

My band Lorenzo's Music just released a new mixtape!
http://www.lorenzosmusic.com/2018/08/ro ... xtape.html

We've released our music under creative commons for many years. And for this new mixtape project, we wanted to try a new experimental artistic venture. And we decided to create the whole thing from start to finish using only open source software and tools.

I know that's probably pretty common here in a Linux musician forum. But it was a huge hurdle for me to convince my band to do it and I wanted to share it with you. We were pretty happy with the results too!

What we used:
OS: Ubuntu Studio
DAW: Ardour
FX: Calf, Guitarix
Mastering: Jamin/Jack
export formats: Audacity
IDTag: Kid3
Art: Inkscape, GiMP
Video: KDENLive

Oh, and OBS for our live streaming a listening party on YouTube :)
