So back I come from the big town wielding a pendrive with 2018 AVLinux on it - now our village plaza has a night guard lately, and he's a very sociable chap and lets me plug in my laptop in some place, so I want to give him something to marvel at and do fire up the live environment, look, that's a drumsequencer, that's a DAW, the magic of linux; and before I'm knowing it, I'm programming a little track, entirely synthetic this time, hydrogen + 3x ZynAddSubFX, since the laptop is all I have with me. (not such a traumatic experience, it turns out.) In the end, I wanted to make good Jose part of the Song and give him a copy, so I asked him if he could sing? - no - hum at least? - no, no -, so I just quickly made a take of him saying the first thing that came to his mind, from which I just used an "errrh" and the name of the place, Los Silos.
Again, it's laptop speaker and el cheapo hands-free set monitoring, so you'll forgive some strange EQing, for instance, everything under 300Hz was guessed at not heard. (I seriously consider trying to develop some sort of compensation EQ for my monitoring, because I really enjoy the option of working anywhere.)
