The Incontinentals - "Maybe I Know" recorded with Ardour
Hi,
Back in the winter some uhm...'old' friends who call themselves 'The Incontinentals' ( ) approached me about a recording project in my Studio, these are a great bunch of guys and lifer musicians that have a great rapport with each other and for this song enlisted the aid of a great young singer named Meg.
I did the Audio recording, mixing and mastering and the video was done later in a different location by 'Tin Can Films'. The organ solo is actually a real Hammond L-100 organ through a 710 leslie that I picked up on the cheap this past year.

These kind of projects always remind me of the positive way music can unite and focus people on a common goal.

Thanks for watching, the guys basically laid down the basic track live and then the solo organ, guitar and vocals were overdubbed all in one afternoon. No kidding... Meg sang the whole thing in 2 takes!
And yes I get the idea Jim is quite fond of his weird old guitars collection indeed! Strangely he tracked with a newish Stratocaster on the session. I would have liked to have heard some of those old relics plugged into an amp!

I'm not sure actually, I'm good friends with the drummer and don't know the rest of the guys that well other than a couple of sessions over the years, I'll try and find out, I was promised a future tour of Jim's guitar collection so if that ends up happening I'll get all the details (and then some).jonetsu wrote:Hi Glen,

My favorite thing about the performers is the juxtaposition of the cool old boys with the young vocalist, like they are a bunch of grand uncles ready to "hand it" to the man she's singing about.bluebell wrote:cool old boys
