New album released
Well, we have finally released our third album. It's been delayed and held back for ages it's time to set it free.
The music was created in Renoise with the vocals mixed in Ardour. The songs are actually quite old now and I think aspects of it could have been better but it's time to let it go.
If you feel like checking it out you can stream/download it for free at https://meefchaloinasherdust.bandcamp.com or https://soundcloud.com/meef-chaloin

Re: New album released
Impressive work, but a bit aggressive for my tastes these days.
Prolly an 'age' thing
Prolly an 'age' thing
The Yoshimi guy {apparently now an 'elderly'}

Dope! How could I miss that? Found it while looking on your profile page. Maybe I was deterred by the cover? First track is killer (now playing the second one)! I like the voice too a lot.

I hope you don't mind my comment about some mud because this is full of it! I completely lost objectivity and not happy with how it sounds now.

No not at all. Where do you hear mud there? Isit because of your monitoring setup / lack of room treatment?

Re: New album released
It's quite good. I was listening to the soundcloud pieces posted with the same cover artwork as the above while doing something else. One thing though, and this might be quite subjective, is that the pieces are sounding pretty much the same. I was wondering at one point if I heard a break or if the same piece was still going on. Nevertheless, pretty good !
(And thanks for the bump !)

Re: New album released
I just think the whole thing is badly mixed and mastered really, it got to the point where I couldn't tell if I was making it better or worse. I also only had headphones to use when making this one so that didn't help.lilith wrote:No not at all. Where do you hear mud there? Isit because of your monitoring setup / lack of room treatment?

Re: New album released
I also have this problem usually, especially when playing around with e.g. compression. I simply don't hear much difference most time. I think I need better speakers for this and a treated room.
