Hi
I have a few .wav files and want to assign them to various keys of my midi keyboard.
without having to edit a .xml file manually for hydrogen to create a drumkit (which crashes way too often anyways...)
Is there some program that lets me just drag and drop my .wav files to keys of the keyboard or something similarly easy? And then it should just play them when I hit the key. I don't want anything fancy, this is all it has to be able to do. Controlling the loudness of the sample with the keys velocity would be nice though.
thanks!
How do I play samples with my midi keyboard

Re: How do I play samples with my midi keyboard
I just tried it out real quick and I think it really does pretty much what I asked for, that's awesome! Thank you
keys 35 - 81 already have some names, like "Low Wood Block". Is this some sort of standard, how drum samples are usually laid out on keyboards?

It's a General MIDI convention: https://computermusicresource.com/GM.Pe ... eyMap.htmlcistaceae wrote:I just tried it out real quick and I think it really does pretty much what I asked for, that's awesome! Thank you

But no-one forbids you to have 100 different kicks beginning from any start position.
