There's a song I've published over in the Original Scores&Music section, find the link to the mix and discuss the tune there: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=17206
Here I am about to link to the project file once it's uploaded, so others can work with the tune that got a nice amount of feedback incl. constructive criticism :) . So, fix the mix, change the arrange (-ment)...

Ardour4.7 and few plugins, amsynth, ZamMulticomp lv2 , MOD team piano I do remember, if you have kxstudio or the kxstudio plugins meta, they are all there.

I once made a remark on wether remixing linux music would soon require as exact a toolchain as compiling complex binaries does. I didn't know then how true it was: The ZaMultiComp lv2 plugin I used, from the 2015 kxstudio 14.04.4 iso, has 3 bands with individual threshold & makeup gain controls, but a common ratio, knee, attack and release. The contemporary plugin of the same name & URI has these latter controls as per channel. Add to this that the GUI does not always correctly reflect the settings. In short, you may get extreme (40+dB) levels when you start playing back, you may want to bypass the plugin (in drums and bass channel, respectively). Ardour 3,4&5 behaved slightly different, loading the GUI a second time, clicking the controls, saving and reloading the project all may or may not help to make the plugin assume the values I intended for it (apparantly, the new plugin does attempt a sensible translation of values from the old version, but owing to what-I-don't-know, it doesn't always happen). If nothing helps, removing these plugins or setting them up to your own taste won't kill the song.
