A test (in German language) suggests that all settings are accessible on the device and that it's class compliant.

Should be a fine piece of hardware for Linux users.

Looks good indeed, but I don't like the volume knob. They likely begin to crackle after some time and the you can dump the whole unit.
Or is the volume control digital? If so, that would be interesting.

I don't see a problem here. I use a cheap, passive monitor controller for some time and there are no crackles.

I have the passive Mackie Big Knob. The first began to crackle after some months, now I have the second one ... Let's see. I mean as I have already a monitor controller I would buy an interface without a big volume knob.

A monitor controller is much better than a volume knob on the interface. It's usually set on low volume and placed between interface and active speakers, so it lowers the noise some interface make when switched on/off.

Why do knobs crackle?

Cheap knobs have a carbon "pads" inside. With time, they wear and contact is not as good as when they are new.

In order to solve this, you can rotate quickly your knobs a few times and it will clean itself, thus not crackling anymore.

Or you just change the knob yourself. Most of the time, it's dead easy if you know how to solder.

I think I will get this one. Does anyone know if it is workling with Linux? Especially does it have asynchronous endpoints and explicit feedback? (see also viewtopic.php?p=117681#p117681). I like that the inputs are on the back and not at the front.
