Linux support for Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 gen 3?
Is this device supported by linux, including hardware low-latency mixer things?

Re: Linux support for Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 gen 3?
I'm afraid that there isn't any Linux support for it; there is/was another thread about the 3rd gen interfaces already: https://www.linuxmusicians.com/viewtopi ... =6&t=20183
However there's a mixer in the making for the older gen2 series, also with a thread about it:
https://www.linuxmusicians.com/viewtopi ... =6&t=18862
And with my second-gen 6i6 the issue is actually the same. It doesn't have that "Air" feature, but I've set the mixer / the inputs actually with Windows, so that I can connect a phantom-powered mike on the first and my bass or my daughter's ukulele on the second front input. And since I don't change this daily, it's a no-brainer for me, and the quality and sound of the thing are really nice.
If you're going to get that 3rd gen interface, let us know how it works.
Hope that helps, and cheers,
Wolfgang
