MOTU Ultralite AVB woes

The interface is recognised. I can use the builtin web browser to set it up.

But it works only for aout 10 seconds. Then audio fades (together with a nigh frequency noise). Sometimes audio comes again after 10-20 seconds but fades again and again.

Any ideas?

EDIT: The channels are jumping. It looks as if "From Computer" 1+2 are used (as I configured jack), then 9+10, then 17+18, then 1+2 again

EDIT2: I found another thread, viewtopic.php?f=6&t=18046&start=225&hilit=modulo

It's much better with older firmware 1.3.2+520 from http://motu.com/techsupport/technotes/f ... changelog/

It seems to run stable with that old firmware. It has a fantastic mixer and effects, e.g. EQ. So it could make my combination of Scarlett 2i4, Ultra Curve Pro (EQ) and Ultralink Pro (Mixer) obsolete - theoretically.

But the Scarlett handles big Qtractor projects much better without xruns than the UltraLite AVB.

Maybe we'll see some advantage using AVB with a builtin network adapter in the future.

I stand corrected. After more tests it doesn't behave worse than the Scarletts regarding xruns. Maybe even a bit better.

I'll use it as my main interface and will report any issues.

I like this interface more and more.

It does replace myScarlett 2o4+ Behringer EQ + Behringer Mixer.

I noticed that it seems to do something with the USB bus that prevents my other Interface (Scarlett Solo, for Guitarix) from working. Maybe it reserves some bandwidth. Using another USB port for the Scarlett solves the problem.

The Ultralite's mixer in combination with those many outputs is great. I can create several different monitor mixes and feed them to different headphone amps.
