Geoffrey's recent work on the Scarlett Gen 2 spurred me to look at the Forte. It turns out some parts are similar to the Gen 1 scarlett, and others are new. So far I've got the mixer matrix and output level/mute working, although not initialised so you'll have to go into alsamixer and set things before what you see there reflects reality. If you've got a Forte, and you're happy patching your kernel, you can find it at https://github.com/alastair-dm/forte-mixer in the forte-mixer branch. It's got some info in the wiki section, and I'll be using the issue tracker for bugs and missing capabilities.
