Frustrated with M-audio Fast Track Pro in Ubuntu Studio

Ey everybody!

Does anybody have may be a working M-audio Fast Track Pro on Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS and can explain me how to configure the whole thing?

After struggling with a KXstudio crash that left my laptop stuck on a black screen hours after installing, i just formated the hard-drive and installed the Ubuntustudio.

Now I´m trying to use my m-audio Fast Track Pro with it, but i really do not get it to work. I spent the las 3 days looking for tutorials on youtube, threads on askubuntu, and in this forum, but untill now i couldn´t really find anything usefull.

I´m new to Ubuntu, but heard good things about it and wanted to give it a try. That was i might get to use this old M-audio and not spend money i do not have in a modern audio device. So far my experience is at least frustrating.
