Hi,
i found out by coincidence that both the Arturia and Miditech use the .led file ending for their firmware files.
An internet search showed other vendors of MIDI devices (Samsontech and Reloop for example) also using this ending for their firmware files.
That made me curious because i've never seen this ending before and i'm wondering if it might be a real format with a checksum or something.
The files are encoded with ASCII hex values ( looks like "40D3517CA590A00000004" in text editor), i don't really understand the reason for that.
I couldn't find any Information about it in the Internet, does anyone here know something about it?

Re: .led firmware files
It might be a bit late but I had the same though and stumbled upon your post.
Researching a bit more, I found some relevant information in a blog post reverse engineering an Arturia KeyStep Firmware : https://dsgruss.com/notes/2020/10/02/keystep1.html
