MCCGenerator

Post by jonetsu »

There's a new Melda free plugin, part of the free plugin bunch, called MCCGenerator. Simple yet creative, it open the 'world' of Melda modulations for any VST. Many tutorial videos already exist on this modulation system. MCCGenerator is part of the 36-FX MFreeFXBundle. While free and displaying litlle banner, it can be upgraded to remove the banner and add some feature for $37 (50% off).

I run Melda VST plugins using wine-staging and linvst. They work fine for at least a year now (apart from one recent glitch affecting many Windows VST described in another section which has gone now) in Bitwig 2.4.3 in Xubuntu 18.04. The only light drawback is that when the VST UI changes size, it must be minimized then brought back to show the updated size. But changing UI size is not the main focus of activity when creating and mixing music, so a couple of clicks are OK from time to time considering the audio processing these plugins offer. In any case, it is free to download and use, so it becomes easy to test on any system.

UPDATE: A specific video on MCCGenerator was just made:
