do I have to delete v3.0.0? I've upgraded and rescanned plugins in Ardour and Reaper and only 3.0.0 is showing.

I just replaced the .so file in /home/yourname/.vst

If you use the installer provided, then it will just replace the previous .so file (if you install it to the same location). Otherwise, if you would prefer not to use the installer or it doesn't work on your distribution, just manually replace the PTC-2A.so file with the one contained in the download (look in Linux/x86-64/plugin-binaries.tar.gz). Make sure you don't have multiple different versions in different locations that might be found by your host application (Reaper points out that only the first one will show up in this case).
