Hi guys,
This isn't exclusively music/audio related, but audio/video. And actually, I am not an expert in any of this. I just stumbled across this on the internet and I though that maybe someone here could be interested, so I am dropping the link below.

It is a video editor which has been released also for Linux. There are two versions, one of which is free. Worth a try, I guess.

The installer document indicates it's mainly Centos based, preferably
with the official nVidia driver, and even has an iso to burn
your own Centos dvd, presumably with Davinci installed, if I read it right...BUT>>> the dvd installer
wipes ALL connected drives, so make sure to make sure you've made sure
The hundreds of Centos musicians here, have been warned

"Resolve has to have the NVIDIA driver installed to run. So the NVDIA driver needs to replace the Nouveau driver. Google can help with those details. Not sure this is your issue, but it would be the first thing to check if Resolve doesn't run. In a command line terminal window, type: nvidia-settings then press <ENTER>
If nothing happens, you don't have the NVIDIA driver installed, and for sure Resolve won't run. "

to fully install Reasolve, and perhaps others will find useful links and helps.

There is a further matter with nVidia before you can use Resolve. The software requires the libcuda dependency which is not available for all nVidia chipsets, so you'll need to check if your GPU/driver is supported. My GeForce 210 is not, despite nvidia-settings reporting 16 CUDA cores, so using Resolve is out for me until I upgrade my video board.
