R.I.P.DiscoDSP ?

Post by jonetsu »

Not news any more... That's about 2 months now that the DiscoDSP web site is down with no news at all from George Reales.

The discoDSP website has an updated message:

"I'm sick and unable to attend. Thanks for your understanding."

Get well soon, George, you are one of the first high-end commercial developers
to invest time and money in linux ports, and your products are excellent!

Yes, these extra two lines have appeared immediately (same day, within two hours) after someone posted a Japanese postal address for George on KVR on June 28th.

Might have gotten some bad sushi. But hopefully while seeking out partners, funding,
hardware projects etc. Maybe he got a cancer-grade illness, and went abroad seeking
cures/capital not locally available, here's hoping for a full recovery, and continued carreer
The kvr crowd will reissue the Camel Audio pitchforks, at the first whiff of smoke...

While on the subject of fatalities I came accross this one in which a life changes totaly and irreversibly in a matter of a few days. From training to run the marathon to needing to be spoon-fed. It's very tragic.

Nothing wrong but sometimes there are complications...

And then the news report veers into "Suffers from dystonia". "You can learn more about dystonia .. bla bla bla...". Hypocrites, if you ask me.

I never won at the lottery but I'm not inclined to play lottery with my life.
