Hi Everyone here,
I have been developing the OPA shield and the last hours are coming for the campaign.
I still need to find bakers that would like to see this project succeed.
The OPA brings FM synthesis for Arduino based projects. The current version of the DSP
software offers:
4-operator voice structure
14 different algorithms
10 voice polyphony
8 simultaneous instruments
16-bit high-quality stereo output
It is made for artists, makers and musicians.
I also developed the open-source editor software for Linux and the dedicated Arduino Library.
If you like the project, please help us:

That sounds very cool. I played around with retro sound chip emulators a lot. The softsynth Dexed is also nice for FM sounds similar to the OPL2/3 days.
But this is the real thing resurrected
I'm a bit late to be a baker (lol) but wish you good luck with this project

Speaking of hardware FM synths, I found this FPGA implementation of the OPL3 really clever. It's based on actual decapping and reverse engineering of the yamaha chip.
