New electric bass

Post by j_e_f_f_g »

I couldn't get the bass sound I wanted out of the available free bass guitars (ie, stereo rickenbacker played with a pick, like Mike Rutherford and Chris Squire). So I decided to create an sfz with that sound. Here it is. It works quite well for rock and pop. There's an additional sfz that adds a distortion effect (the sound of a blown woofer). Soft pedal (MIDI CC 67) turns t on/off.

Absolutely. It turned out nice. But I'm doing a few tweaks to it.

I also made some fender precision bass sounds which came out nicer than the previous fender. So I'll be replacing that one as well. And the good news is now there is no longer any usage restriction on these 2 new important basses.

Frankly, I don't much care for any of the bass samples I got from others, with the exception of "ElectricPick" bass. So I may dump all of them except ElectricPick, my 2 new basses, Fretless, and the 3 synth basses I made.
