Orchestral sf2

Hi,

I just wanted to share some very well known soundfonts that have a very good quality and might save you some google time. The order reflects my personal preference (better to worse from top to bottom):

Crisis GM 3.01a 1.7GB orchestral soundfont. It has volume irregularities, but otherwise good quality. Very worth the download.

3.5GB of orchestral samples (the first link on the collections section contains the bellatrix sf2).

Musyngs Kite GS A fat and praised GM. Maybe a little to much FX'd but it works.

A post on fruityclub with lots of worthy links to soundfonts and gig files.

I believe the first three links hold enough for most needs. To my ears, some of the instruments on these sf2s sound better than the sonatina symphonic orchestra.

It's amazing to see how an old format like sf2 is still on it's feet. I just wished fluidsynth supported 24-bit samples.
