hey thanx for all your hard work.

wanted to share this link

Code: Select all

http://www.freedrumkits.net/sound-fonts

they have free mostly hip hop drum kit samples too. all free.

maybe you can make sfz from the soundfonts and samples.

I picked 5 of the "kits" at random, and found them to be beyond horrible -- noisy, clipped, low-fidelity synthesized sound effects. I can't make anything from these.

From the samples or the soundfonts? The drum kit samples are ripped from songs I think. I've had to dig also to find clean samples there too as you're right they are some poor sounding ones. thanx for trying.

I'm not going to download and slog through all of them, but if you found something good there, tell me which file. I'm constantly looking for good samples.

Hi,

Slightly OT but I have all the samples for my 'Black Pearl' H2 Kit and I recently added a couple of new kit pieces so once I've sampled them I'll upload them all to the AVL Sounds FTP in a zip so Jeff and any other SFZ wizards can make a SFZ library out of them, (if the samples are deemed worthy at that time :) )
