Drum kits

Post by j_e_f_f_g »

Doing more sfz instruments -- this time, the NSA drumkit. Consult "readme.htm" for details.

Hey Jeff,

Do you know of any good sources for a set of tuned wood blocks aka temple blocks ?

Thanks for the nice work on the SFZ stuff, very useful.

Best,

tuned wood blocks
Are you looking for a xylophone? I may have one of those somewhere. Or just a couple notes?

Temple blocks are more like tuned cowbells. I've actually seen more plastic versions than wood. Unfortunately I can't help with any samples, I haven't seen any since school.

@j_e_f_f_g

Again a sincere thanks for these! especially non-Hydrogen drumkits... very much needed!. For future reference I'm grabbing all of these and stowing them with your other previous SFZ's and am still planning a 'Sounds' FTP but probably won't get to it until later in November. Anyway just so you know these will still be available after your WikiSend links expire.

And now back to Jeff's world of SFZ's!!

I couldn't find any real temple blocks, so I synthesized some facsimile:

This drumkit took a lot of work, but it turned out very well. I like how it sounds better than a lot of other free kits. But it comes at a price. There are some big samples here. (Cymbals ring for nearly a minute). It's also 24-bit 48KHz.
