Hi guys,
what overdrive/distortion do you use on vocals and drums? .... I really love Guitarix Tube Screamer emulation but it cuts lows and highs (which is great for guitars and other stuff) ... can you recommend something similar to Guitarix Tube Screamer but with "extended" lows and highs.

I guess you don't want a harsh distortion as used for guitars but an enhancement, creating some overtones.Drazen wrote:Hi guys,

I use:
- To enhance vocals, placed in the vocal tracks: CALF Exciter, followed by CALF Deesser to tame the "S"-sounds
- To enhance the complete master bus: CALF Saturator and CALF Multiband Enhancer
CALF Multiband Enhancer can change the stereo width per frequency range as well. I mix the lowest frequency band to mono while slightly spreading the other frequency bands.

Based on your description, besides the excellent previous advice I would also have a try with two different methods:Drazen wrote:Hi guys,

1- check some "very adjustable" mixing od/distos in the Airwindows collection (eg: Cojones, Drive, PurestWarm, etc.)
2- Have some fun drawing your owns with the help of Wolf-shaper

I like Zam autosat on an aux bus.

Instant bass fattener. Or I dial it to taste with some send and filter out what I don't like.
