I did check that out a while back, and it sorta worked but I had some issues. In any case, I have enough VSTs at my disposal to not really care enough to try to work it out. I was mostly pointing out the plugins for the benefit of anyone who does use lv2, since there's some pretty decent stuff there.Loki Harfagr wrote:About that LV2 // Reaper trouble, it may be worth to test a WIP from X42 that might well be made on this exact purpose:

Don't shoot me if it doesn't work I'm only the mesenger (Besides I can't test it since any version of Reaper I tried to use warped off in dark bubbles...)

Re: Exhaustive List of Free Native Linux Plugins
I irregularly maintain this page:
http://linux-sound.org/linux-vst-plugins.html
It's a fairly complete list, please advise if there are missing items.
Just did an update yesterday.
Best,

Thanks, i really appreciate this page and it helped me a lot when deciding to migrate my music production setup to linux and ditching windows completely.davephillips wrote:I irregularly maintain this page:

Audio Damage now makes some plugins for Linux, and is planning to port some more:
https://www.audiodamage.com/
Among those: the free "RoughRider3" compressor (requires glibc 2.29 or higher).

Re: Exhaustive List of Free Native Linux Plugins
To be scrupulously fair, by including Yoshimi you should also include ZynAddSubFX. The two synths are fairly comparable, though less than they used to be.
The Yoshimi guy {apparently now an 'elderly'}
Re: Exhaustive List of Free Native Linux Plugins
In the list of Instruments, which of those is a piano, harpsichord, various brass instruments, various woodwinds, percussion (including piano, of course), strings (including harpsichords, obviously)? I know lots of actual instruments get some really strange names for VSTs, so I'm just looking for a translation between the names and what instrument they actually are.
Thanks
