Hi Everyone!
After like a two years long break (for various and equally grim reasons) I'm putting my studio back together. I guess I got the blues again.
But ZynAddSubFx is behaving strangely. First, it's now dressed up in "Fusion" GUI, whether I invoke the LV2 or the VST plugin flavor ; Is it something I did before, or is it now the distribution (I install it from the KXStudios repos) norm? Anyway:
The MIDI channel has stopped working like it did: Now, whenever I select another MIDI channel than the default (01) one, the whole synth stops working No internal KB, no MIDI input, nothing. I can see the MIDI signal entering the Qtractor (0.9.4) master MIDI bus, then My track's, but nothing in ZASFX. Only if I switch back to 01, will the internal KB work again, and the synth make any sound.
This completely breaks all my project files

Re: Zyn-fusion MIDI channel selection
kxstudio does package the fusion version now since it has been open-sourced.
Does that also break with the standalone zynthian? I unfortunately can't really test it here at work.
p.s. sorry to hear of your rough times, but certainly glad you are back!

Re: Zyn-fusion MIDI channel selection
talked to fundamental and it sounds like the internal keyboard only sends midi channel 1 so when you change the engine its not surprising that it doesn't work. Not ideal, but at least that explains that part. Not sure about the rest.

Re: Zyn-fusion MIDI channel selection
I just checked on my laptop and the virtual keyboard in the fusion UI is only sending to MIDI channel 1, but at least in standalone operation synthesis happens from the right MIDI channels (testing with parts 1/2 and MIDI channels 1/2). If you're having issues with zyn responding to MIDI events, that's a pretty noteworthy bug, so could you clarify the steps needed to replicate the issue?

Re: Zyn-fusion MIDI channel selection
Thank you for your help!
- Open Qtractor, create a midi track.
- Add ZASFX as a plugin... Wait.
I'm confused, now it works ; see, my ZASFX instances were after other plugins (most notably a Reverb bus insert and a x-42 EQ10) and apparently that's why they didn't respond. When I move ZASFX up the plugin chain, it works, responding to the correct MIDI channel. Please excuse the noise

No problem. The issue about the builtin keyboard is/will be tracked via https://github.com/zynaddsubfx/zyn-fusi ... /issues/53 .
